Bandhavgarh Fort : The name “Bandhavgarh” has been derived from there only which significantly is the combination of two words: ‘Bandhav’ means brother and ‘Garh’ is the fort.
2000 year old ancient fort, Being spread across an area of 582 acres at an elevation of 811 meters, this outstanding fort is believed to be built in the 3rd century. This place had been the ideal destination for ruling for various dynasties including Vaktak, Kalchuri, Solanki, Kuruvanshi and Baghel. In 1917, the Baghels relocated their capital from Bandhavgarh to Rewa as the area was on the outskirt of the region and was difficult to manage.
Cheshpur Water Fall : The Cheshpur Waterfall is a natural waterfall in River Johila, situated at a distance of 50 km from Bandhavgarh. It is an ideal location for the tourists to enjoy a picnic here.
