The Thar Desert

Day 01: Jaipur – Bikaner
In morning, drive to Bikaner with en-routed visit Deshnok and then visit Karni Mata Temple. Later we will continue drive to Bikaner. Overnight stay in Bikaner.

Day 02: Bikaner – Jaisalmer
In morning, after breakfast set out for sightseeing of Bikaner covering Junagarh Fort which is one of the most imposing forts of northern India and Camel Breeding farm and it is 10 km away from the city and probably the only one of its kind in Asia and managed by the government.  Later we drive to Jaisalmer. In evening, we visit Sam and enjoy camel ride. Overnight stay in Jaisalmer.

Day 03: Jaisalmer
In morning, after breakfast set out for sightseeing of Jaisalmer covering Sonar Fort. Sonar fort is the second oldest in Rajasthan after Chittor and commands the desert scape from its 250 feet high perch on the hill. Three strong walls protect the citadel. The first buttress wall was constructed by the local Jain panchayat in the 15th century. Subsequent additions and fortifications were built by the Rawals. Salem Singh Haveli - It is at an unhurried pace that the havelis (houses of rich merchants) should be seen and admired. These havelis are the pride of Jaisalmer architecture, a part of the national heritage. Salem Singh haveli, at the eastern end of the city, is an Arabian Nights structure, which, like a wild flower, blossoms at the top. Patwon ki Haveli Near the city center is the Patwon ki Haveli, built by Guman Chand Patwa and his five sons, dealers in brocade, gold and silver embroidery with business stretching between Afghanistan and China. Overnight in Jaisalmer.

Day 04: Jaisalmer - Jopdhpur
In morning, after breakfast drive to Jodhpur. Jodhpur "The Sun City" was founded by Rao Jodha, a chief of the Rathore clan, in 1459. It is named after him only. Jodhpur is in Rajasthan, India which was previously known as Marwar. Jodhpur is the second largest city in Rajasthan. It is divided into two parts - the old city and the new city. The old city is separated by a 10 km long wall surrounding it. Also it has eight Gates leading out of it. The new city is outside the walled city. Jodhpur is a very popular tourist destination. The landscape is scenic and mesmerizing. Jodhpur city has many beautiful palaces and forts such as Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada, Umaid Bhavan Palace. Other charms of Jodhpur include Government museum and a beautiful Umed garden. The city is known as "The Sun City" because of its bright and sunny weather throughout the year. Overnight in Jodhpur.

Day 05: Jodhpur – Jaipur
In morning, after breakfast we drive to Jaipur and later moved to railway station or airport for your onwards journey.
